PRUCHA DIAMOND POINT - Pre-Loved - 2006 - Sold

Very good to Excellent condition. Some corrosion on flange in one small area plus minor cosmetic blemishes. Very little fretwear. Has been well cared for, fingerboard cleaned, oiled, new head, professional set-up.

Handcrafted by Czech maestro Jaroslav Prucha. His banjos are highly sought after and Prucha's finishing detail is always superb.

Mahogany neck. Mahogany resonator with purfling rings. Tortoiseshell-look binding on slightly radiused 22-fret ebonyfretboard and resonator. Abalone inlays in headstock and fingerboard fretmarkers. 1-1/4" nut width. 20-hole flathead tone ring. 3/8" three-ply maple rim. One-piece flange. Prucha Kerchner tailpiece. Quality geared tuners with amber-look buttons. Ebony headstock overlay with abalone logo and inlays. Spikes at 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th frets. Nickel hardware.

I have played this particular banjo for several hours and can tell you it has real flathead authority; clear, bell-like tones with rich, grunty midrange.

In plush-lined Guardian case (ex Yates, good condition) or, upgrade to Calton-style yellow case listed on instrument page for additional $600. On consignment $4500.00 AUD - Sold.
