OSBORNE CHIEF - MAPLE - SPEEDNECK - USA - 2007 - Pre-Loved


Made by legendary banjo-maker, Frank Neat in Kentucky, USA, this model is named for Sonny Osborne of the Osborne Brothers; bluegrass banjo player from same era and ranking as hall-of-famers Earl Scruggs, and JD Crowe. Said to be modelled on the Gibson Granada it's signature 'Chief' is the American Indian Twin Tomahawks headstock motif. This one was number 12 of 2007, made in May.

Excellent condition. Flame maple resonator. Maple speedneck with rosewood fingerboard and hearts and flowers pearl inlays. Spikes at 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th frets. Blaylock tonering. Frank Neat neck. Cox rim and resonator. Gold plated hardware. Presto tailpiece. Upgraded to Keith regular tuners on headstock, and Gotoh 5th string tuner. Kat-Eyes 5/8" bridge. New Remo frosted head and GHS PF185 strings.
