DEERING SIERRA - 2008 - Pre-Loved- Sold

Deering's most popular professional model. Mahogany neck and resonator, Ebony fingerboard with tadpole and vines inlays. These inlays only appeared for a short time between the shirt button type, and the more traditional design Deering kept until the present day. The Sierra has all the high end hardware of the top shelf Deerings that affect tone and playability: heavy tone ring, violin-grade maple rim, dual coordinator rods, adjustable truss rod, Deering tailpiece and frosted head.

Fingerstyle believes in full disclosure and gallery shot shows the only thing wrong with this banjo is the 'bruising' of lacquar up the binding. Otherwise, we would classify this instrument 'As New'. Barely played, it's laid in its case under a bed. It's waiting for someone to play it, to bring out the Scruggs-type keen-'n'-gritty bluegrass sound.

Very clean instrument and case. Beautiful to play. Recent pro set-up with new strings and bridge. $3,600 AUD in hard case. Freight and insurance, Australia, $120 - Sold.
