Birds Eye Maple neck. African Blackwood fingerboard (very dense, smooth wood)
Fingerboard has 'forte' mother-of-pearl inlays and headstock has African Ebony veneer. Gotoh geared tuners. Spikes at 7th, 9th and 10th frets. Stainless steel flange and in-line tailpiece. Chromed hardware. Block construction rim and tubaphone-type tone ring. Blonde resonator. Alan's typically slimline neck front to back - feels really good under the hand. Easy to play, plenty of volume without the weight of a cast tone ring.
