This guitar is a rare find. A quick comparison between the woods used then and the woods used now will show that the Rosewood fingerboard and bridge assembly just doesn't happen any more. How many D16's do you see in Aus with the herringbone centreback detail? D16's shipped to Aus have shirt-button fingerboard markers.
